Tri-County Wellness Workshop for Elementary Parents
Staff from the Tri-County Community Action Agency will be leading a "Wellness Workshop" for Elementary Parents on Tuesday, October 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Smithfield High School auditorium. Some of the topics discussed will be building resilience, promoting mental health, navigating technology and social media, and starting conversations regarding substance abuse. There will also be a raffle for a $25 Amazon gift card!
Morning drop-off and afternoon pickup
Just a reminder to families that morning drop-off begins at 7:55 a.m. and ends at 8:15 a.m. After 8:15 a.m., all students and their families will be directed to the main office to check-in. Please do not enter the driveway in front of the school during morning drop-off because it is used by the buses and creates a safety hazard.
During afternoon pickup, do not enter the driveway in front of the school because it is used by the buses. All cars should enter and exit the parking lot on the right side of the school. We are fortunate to have a wonderful playground at OCRS and we welcome families to use that playground after school. However, for the safety of all of our students, please do not drive behind the school to park at the playground or walk through the buses to the playground until all of the buses have left the school. Also, please do not allow your children to walk behind the school to the playground until all of the buses have left the school. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
